Family Therapy

Family Therapy

Family therapy can be used in tandem with child therapy and individual teen therapy to include the entire family in the therapy process.

Goals for family therapy often include building skills for conflict resolution, improved communication, teamwork, and a sense of family bonding.

Family therapy can be as simple as a parent and teenager resolving a disagreement, or as intricate as a family of six processing the loss of a family member.

In family therapy, Breanna typically has the whole group agree on some rules to abide by in session so everyone feels safe to express themselves. It is important that each member is allowed an equal voice in the process.
